We’re Jason and Darren — partners in wellness and recovery,
based in Costa Rica.
Jason brings over a decade of leadership in the recovery field, with experience designing and expanding impactful programs in treatment environments. His work is rooted in long-term recovery, peer connection, and integrity.
Darren is the creator of the Plant Five Method, having spent over two decades navigating a high-raw, plant-based lifestyle and making it easy for others. As a movement artist, certified trainer, and designer, his focus is on building rhythms that feel real, sustainable, and alive.
Together, our work is about clarity and care — guiding people back to rhythm, balance, and renewal. This retreat is our way of sharing that vision in community, creating space for restoration and new energy to grow.

Preparing for retreat is part of the experience. These small considerations can help you arrive feeling grounded and ready to restore:

Travel Light, Live Light — Costa Rica’s warmth invites breathable fabrics, comfortable footwear for both adventure and leisure, and light layers for early mornings + evening breezes.

Sun + Skin — bring your preferred SPF and insect repellent. Both will help you feel comfortable and uninterrupted as you enjoy the outdoors.

Stay Hydrated — filtered water is available throughout the property. A refillable bottle will be your best companion.

Mindset Matters — WiFi is available, but this is a chance to step away from screens. Give yourself permission to disconnect and lean into community, nature, and your own rhythm.

Arrive Open — bring curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to both rest and be surprised. The jungle has its own way of teaching presence.

Travel Made Simple — one group shuttle from SJO airport is included. Please book flights that arrive no later than noon on arrival day to take advantage. If your flight timing doesn’t align, we’re happy to assist with private driver arrangements.
booking payment + cancellation policy:
We are honored to welcome you into this retreat experience. To ensure clarity and fairness for all participants, please review the following booking, payment, and cancellation terms carefully.
Reservations & Deposit

A 50% payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot.

This first payment includes a $1,000 non-refundable deposit.

The remaining 50% balance will be charged 60 days prior to the retreat start date.
Cancellations & Refunds

More than 90 days prior to retreat start: All payments are refundable except for the $1,000 deposit.

90–60 days prior to retreat start: 50% of your first payment (excluding the $1,000 deposit) may be refunded.

Less than 60 days prior to retreat start: All payments are non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or unused portions of the retreat.
Transfers

Reservations may be transferred to another guest only with prior approval.

Transfers must be arranged directly with Pure Life Retreats and confirmed in writing.
Force Majeure
In the unlikely event of natural disasters, border closures, or other emergencies beyond our control, Pure Life Retreats may offer partial refunds or credits toward a future retreat, considered on a case-by-case basis.
Payment Methods

Preferred: Direct bank transfer into our US business account. Guests choosing this option receive a $100 discount on their total retreat price.

Credit Card: Accepted at standard retreat pricing.

Guests are responsible for any bank transfer fees charged by their financial institution.
Agreement
By submitting payment, you confirm your reservation and agree to the terms of this policy.

Please note: all guests will be asked to review and sign a standard liability waiver upon arrival and at all excursion destinations. We also recommend securing personal travel insurance to cover unexpected events.
